Free Floral Bookmark Crochet Pattern

Materials:
Small amounts worsted weight yarn in various colors
Size H crochet hook

Size: 8" long

First Flower
Rnd 1: Ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 1, 8 sc in ring, join w sl st in 1st sc (8 sc).

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same sc, (ch 3, sc in next sc) 7 times, ch 3, join w sl st in 1st sc, fo (8 sc plus 8 ch 3 sp).

Second Flower
Rnd 1: Using different color yarn, work same as Rnd 1 in First Flower (8 sc).

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same sc, ch 1, holding motifs wrong sides together, sl st in any ch 3 loop of finished motif, ch 1, sc in next sc of working motif, ch 1, sl st in next unworked ch 3 loop of finished motif, ch 1, sc in next sc of working motif, (ch 3, sc in next sc of working motif) 5 times, ch 3, join w sl st in 1st sc, fo (8 sc plus 8 chained petals ).

Third-Fifth Flowers
Using different color yarn, repeat as for Second Flower, joining motifs in the two top petals, leaving two free petals at each side of flower. With wrong sides together, you'll join in the top right petal of finished motif first, followed by the petal just to its left.

Tip: When working this project, keep a size smaller and a size larger hook (G and I) beside you. If a flower looks too big or too small just go up or down a hook size to make the flower more uniform in size. This is especially helpful if you're working with different brands/weights of yarn.

Weave in ends. Enjoy!
